What would you call this post if not dismissive of people, including people hurt by the band, being worried and mad about the band possibly coming back?

It's ok for people to be pissed about this! Getting vocally mad about the band showing up again to make money after doing nothing to stop the harassment of people hurt is a good thing!

If the other guys did the bare minimum and just said “don’t harass victims” and started a new band, I’d have been open to checking it out. But nah, they’re all guilty.

 

Stating a fact that this has happened over and over again and the band never comes back isn't dismissive, it's pointing out a pattern

 

If you ignore that the band literally released new merch yesterday and I, and others, have heard they are contemplating shows again, and that it's a good thing that each time something comes up people speak up again. There's no reason to double down on this. I'm telling you there's a good chance this is not nothing.

 

If every time they repeat the pattern, people are less and less vocal, at some point they come back. That’s just plain logic.

 

There was also that private friends and family show last month that Jesse and others in the band played.

Speaking out every time there’s movement with the band is a good thing, especially if those things are pointing towards a test of the waters to gauge interest/reaction in a return.

They can probably recruit almost anyone. The money will be insane. They will sell out gigantic venues. Fuck em, hope they stay dead

 

Prepare yourselves for disappointment, because bands we love will be chomping at the bit to play a show with them.
