Catch me never being in a BN subreddit

 

Reddit fucking loved recommending me posts from the BN subreddit until I blocked it

And then they accuse me of having BN living rent free in my head when I snapped and responded to a dumb post on there haha

 

BN Reddit was a cesspool before the allegations. It is still one currently based on looking at it briefly this morning.

 

They were gonna be done anyways, like it shouldn’t be that hard to just stay dead

 

That subreddit always knows a guy who knows a guy who ran into a merch guy or a band member who says they heard rumors about them reuniting, even with that pic I wouldn't lend the subreddit any credence here

 

But what about the last time Reddit.... oh wait

 

I don’t recall hearing this, and I don’t doubt it’s true - but had they accepted, soooooo many - if not all - bands would have rightfully dropped out.

It's been 20+ years since the actual misconduct (as far as I'm aware), that's not going to splinter a fest lineup. But of course this is all totally speculative, I'm also skeptical about the reunion claims

 

Y’all don’t think if Brand New was playing a festival with other bands, the fans of other bands wouldn’t crucify those bands for playing a festival with Brand New? Most of the other bands who were/are playing those fests are big, well-established bands. It wouldn’t be worth the PR hit for them to play a festival with Brand New.

 

Bands in the scene support pedophiles and groomers. The fan backlash that does exists doesn’t do much.

 

Like, sorry, but TBS, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, Yellowcard, Sum 41, The Offspring, Manchester Orchestra, Bright Eyes, etc and the bazillion other bands who lead the scene aren’t agreeing to play a show with Brand New.

Yeah that’s just not true. You greatly overestimate how many people actually know or give a shit about what Jesse did. We live in a sad pathetic world, that hypothetical festival would absolutely go on like normal

 

Then, yes, I am incredibly naive to be surprised that in 2023, some of the biggest bands in the scene would knowingly agree to do a show with Brand New.

 

Would they tour with them? No, probably not. Would the bands drop off of a festival date because BN is playing, highly fucking doubtful.

BN doesn’t even need a festival. They would sell out their own headlining tour like it was nothing if they came back

 

I mean, WWWY 2023 has plenty of shitty dudes on the lineup and no one has dropped from it!

 

Lots of bands are still playing with All Time Low

 

Then maybe we should shut this site down?
