Yeah i mean Taylor is definitely never going to be on my Jetblue flight, and i dont necessarily even think there is anything inherently bad about travelling privately if you can afford to do so, but, the optics of this at face value are pretty bad.

I think other rich individuals rent her plane, not necessarily her friends using it when they need it. It's like how some artists own tour buses, and then rent or lease them out to other artists on tour.
At least that's what I felt like her rep was saying. She owns the plane but other people are allowed to use it if they want to pay for it.

 

I think I remember hearing something many, many years ago from some famous person that said that they rent out the plane for a fee and that’s what covers the payments on it because if they only used it themselves a few times a year “that would be a stupid purchase” or something like that.

My boss owns a jet and he definitely rents it out to his politician buddies. Sadly, it is a good way to make some extra money from what his friends say.

but yea in all reality the optics are terrible and Taylor needs to be more mindful of this and make a change.

you'd be surprised how well known they are yeah but Chris is the public face so is on a different level

 

I only know the bassist Guy Berryman because he has a cool name and is very hot

 

I'd probably try it once if offered, because in all likelihood, I'll never have that opportunity, haha. But like to actually spend money on owning, maintaining, using and renting out a private jet, feels like a different line to cross.

Greta Thunberg has likely had plenty of opportunities to fly on private jets. I'm sure some rich 'liberal' person has offered. Instead, she travels by train or by sea if she's leaving Europe. Flying in general, either via private or commercial, is terrible for the environment any way you slice it. The US hasn't developed the infrastructure to travel as quickly by train or any other method.

I would love to be famous enough to the point where if I’m walking down the street someone will come up to me and be like “I know you, you’re that guy from so and so” but not famous enough where they know my name or anything haha.
