This is why I hate Twitter, particularly Stan Twitter: Everything just becomes about ThE dRaMa, and valid concerns about abuse fade when people throw bad faith hand grenades like this into the discourse.

 

Definitely a yikes, but the only thing that leaves me reassured is we were supposed to have a big Ryan Adams comeback by this point but that didn’t happen. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Well that article was from like 5 years ago, so the interview probably happened when they were 17-20.

Considering that they were speaking in the past tense mostly, and they broke through 2 years prior, it's safe to assume they were roughly the same age as all the people they were having intercourse with.

Obviously there's still a bad power dynamic, and all the other allegations are still fucking awful, but assuming they're pedophilles off of a throwaway line in a Rolling Stone piece bit of a stretch, imo.

 

I’m aware of how old they are, I’m not suggesting they’re pedophiles. I’m suggesting they’re shorty dudes bragging about sleeping with teenagers who idolize them, knowing that it’s a fucked up power dynamic. For them to say it’s totally untrue when they’re literally on the record talking about bagging their fans in a major trade music publication is insane to me.

Ex-bassist of Elvis Depressedly. Mat is live right now saying the things Sam are saying are false and that Sam has been harassing and stalking him for years while Mat has done nothing to him and not spoken to him since 2016.

 

The reason Sam accused Mat of being associated with fascism is he posted the numbers 1488 on Twitter, which are numbers associated with fascists/the alt right, but according to Mat he was just posting the numbers of Pi directly copied from Wikipedia. Sam just tweeted this:

Honestly this all seems like something that should be handled privately. Sam has had his own controversies so it's not like he's this perfect person either.

EDIT: Just saw this. Threats of rape and murder by Mat have been made according to Kitty.

 

sam was an addict and he won't shy away from saying that, but he's good people and I trust him in these situations. he's saying mat is fashy and I believe him.

 

I’ve seen the Mat and Sam feud play out for a while now and it’s all very confusing. It seems like there is a lot of animosity there and both have had their struggles in the past. I’m not sure this should be done publicly.

 

Speaking of Austin, I lived with him and Jaxin among others in Costa Mesa right when they were putting together the band. He was doing some stuff with one of the girls in the millionaires in the house. I believe she was 16 or 17.
