I know the Phoebe/Pinegrove stuff is really beating a dead horse at this point but, it’s good to see people seem to finally be challenging her on it on twitter. I’m probably overthinking it, but it almost seems like she goes out of her way to overtly support them.

Though I think it may be a very simplified and immature take on hip hop, I don't think it's bad that we work towards a path away from the parts of hip hop that still rely on braggadocio of violence and misogyny just as male indie alternative music has slowly, and needs to continue getting away from unhealthy relationship depictions that border on obsession and expectations that they deserve to have that girl.

I’ve definitely gotten incorrect notifications from Bandsintown before, it was always has to do with some random wording on the lineup being the false band’s name

 

hoping yall are right. the venue also wouldn't be big enough so i'm gonna assume false alarm on this one too

 

Well, contrary to my above post, this instance actually does explicitly have their name listed on the lineup — I was expecting to see something like “Band XYZ playing a brand new set of songs!”

Even still.. a 400 cap room? Billed beneath artists named 420 Veeboyyz, Joe Pe$ci, and the Sucka Ducka Mob? Feels like that can’t be right, even after everything that’s happened hah

 

There are a couple other artists named either Brand New or Brand-New, I’m guessing it’s one of them.

About a year ago, I got an e-mail from Bandsintown saying Brand New was playing a show at a venue with a 600 cap in Cleveland. It even had Brand New's logo in the e-mail, but when you clicked on the link it was a different band called Brand New (somethings - I don't remember).
