Spraynard is the only band from that scene who I've seen signal boost this, kinda disappointing that they're the only ones but what else is new. gonna be let down by a lot of big names pretty soon

Heard Pinegrove in my local coffee shop today, felt as if I should say something given the situation but didn’t know how to go about it.

Does anyone have experience with addressing this?

 

The bar is on the fucking ground but I’m literally tearing up thinking abt a band I love as much as the Menzingers responding like this when so many bands I’ve loved have failed so miserably at addressing issues like this.

 

Yeah, this is where I’m at. It feels so weird to pat them on the back for this but calling out a family member/coworker of the band for their actions is much more than what so many other bands that get a pass have done

 

Ad Rock is the only other person I can think of who has supported the victims when they had an abuser in the family

Real Friends did the same thing when the bassist’s dad was creeping on their young fans, but then now they’re touring with Keep Flying so I guess they aren’t as good as they seemed.

 

I feel like we were hammered this message into our heads through movies and TV shows in the 90s and it was absolutely toxic when it didn’t work out. I can’t believe there are people that still say this.

 

This member of the band was originally accused of sexual assault.

 

I mean, I’m glad he’s not in the band anymore officially, but also this just seems like they’re beating around the bush.

If it was fake then why is he leaving the band? How do you know it was fake?
