Yeah it’s an easy thing to do for sure. That’s why I mentioned trying to do better myself. There are tons of things that we don’t intend at all but can be taken in very different directions, and that one is absolutely one of the most common. We all want to give our immediate reactions, but taking an extra step and thinking about what it says can make all the difference.

 

Due to francis erasing his post about new music and probably staying low, will this probably not conclude to anything if no other publications start pumping it out? If this is still on going (I haven’t read anything stating that only he used to or he currently is) then this dude needs to be stopped ASAP. Have any musicians familiar with him posted about this?

 

I haven’t seen it mentioned by anyone except that one article, and the fact that it included the person’s name when she already deleted the post was not a great look. It was mentioned earlier that there is an official investigation going on, so I would expect news to come from that and not necessarily from inside the music world.

 

There are definitely other outlets investigating. I’m not sure what all I’m allowed to say, so I don’t want to overstep.

 

So the article may have used her post or name without her consent? Ouch. Would it be best to not post this article on other media then? With it being a sex cult there probably won’t be many people coming out if he has it locked down. It took years for a sex cult based on Hollywood celebrities to get fully exposed.

 

Yeah it was probably written in the short time the post was live but it showed the facebook post and her first and last name. I haven’t checked to see if it has been changed now that she deleted it. It may have.

 

I guess I'm only gonna chime in and gawk at the Wil from Aiden thing. I took a chance and bought their 2005 record when it came out (I didn't particularly like it at the time) and I assumed he and his band were just a dorky kid playing Misfits. But what a bizarre turn of events. I did hear he was working with BOTDF a few years ago and felt that was a red flag just in terms of judgment. But I also just thought maybe he was just trying to make the whole music thing work and was a desperate attempt to remain relevant. Now I really wonder. My sympathies go out to those who were caught up in it.

Would Victory Records ever pull this guy's music from their site or anything? I'm assuming no, but this blows.

Ironically the band Integrity had quite an acrimonious departure from Victory back in the day

Islander was their legit last band to actually do something, and they somehow managed to successfully asked to be released.

 

Shout out to the band Broadside who I found out yesterday immediately sacked their tour manager here in the UK and cut all ties because he got accused of harassment.

How do I know this? The dude is from my town and recognized and told my girlfriend and her best friend at a The Maine gig last night as if it would impress them.

 

Wait sorry I'm reading this right that the guy tried to hit on your girlfriend and her friend by saying "hey you know Broadside? Yeah, they fired me as their manager for sexual harassment. Pretty cool huh"????

 

Yeah. The dude is a major creep. I've known him for years (never been friends but we have a lot of mutuals as it's a small town of like 100k people) and he is known as a serial creep. He also took advantage of my girlfriend's best friend when she was like 16 and blackout drunk apparently. He spotted the two of them last night and told them, almost bragging.

They managed to escape to the toilet and lose him luckily!

 

I know a lot of interesting things about that band. not a lot of them are good. so i'll keep it to myself. Victory sounds like the right place for them.
