She is well removed from the situation and is doing well, minus all of this coming out in public. I'll pass along the well wishes. :)

He may have, but he also dramatically quit music right around the time people were starting to ask too many questions. His merch is a gross mix of BDSM gear/shirts emblazoned with "slave," etc. He is truly a vile person and I hope he is held accountable legally.

It's mad. I loved Aiden when I was 13 (I didn't know any better. They had edgy videos and a look I was really into, and the cool kids were a little scared by it so I enjoyed it I guess). But I remember reading around the time I went off them (after Knives) that he once planned to shoot up his school as a teenager. Guy seems like a truly weird piece of shit. You never expect this though...

When William Control came out, I was well past caring but listened out of curiosity and remember thinking it was really questionable with all the samples and worrying merch. I also heard him on Lead Singer Syndrome and found him to be a really odd guy, he had some interesting stories but it seemed like he was holding a lot back and I found him hugely unnerving.

I screen grabbed some of the posts to show a friend, I could post them if needed, however since she actually deleted or made her post private, i dunno if that would be the right thing to do?

 

He was one of the only frontmen that genuinely creeped me out when I was a kid. Their whole evil/hate schtick never seemed like as much of an act or theatrical idea to me. I never kept up with him to know that his merch was so blatantly vile, and this whole thing goes way beyond what I ever could have imagined. The fact that the post is already deleted is absolutely awful. Knowing that it's already being professionally investigated is some comfort, and I really hope everyone involved can get out and get whatever help they need going forward.

 

I'd say showing to friends is fine privately, but let's wait until we hear more before sharing any screencaps online. It's entirely likely he's threatening legal action against his accusers.

Haven’t been in this thread for a few days but what’s the gist of what happened with William Control? Not asking for screenshots or anything like that I’m just completely in the dark on it

Searched his name on Twitter to see if there was a conversation happening and saw that his verified account is private. Is that a new thing? I don't follow him.

 

My understanding is that he “quit” and went dark when people first started talking about this a few months ago. It seemed like this week he began promo again- he supposedly has a album coming out this month. Pretty sure he’s trying to maintain control over the narrative.

This is his “I quit post”- all this posturing to avoid saying “teenage girls are realizing I’m treating them like shit and I gotta go.”
