  1. Not here to speculate. If there's a tour opener, it will certainly be telling

  2. not sure how the schedules cross if at all but MO is opening for incubus all summer i'm pretty sure

Wouldn’t be surprised if there won’t be a tour opener but rather a random band in each city.

I really, really hope this is not true and that Andy would have more sense than to still associate with JL. Fuck.

The ex-wife of former Born of Osiris guitarist Lee McKinney alleged on reddit that he cheated on her with a minor shortly after their engagement, compared nudes from fans in a group with members of Hunt The Dinosaur, and some other shithead behavior.

Reddit mods banned her and removed the comments until she verified herself (I’ll delete this post if it turns out it’s someone making shit up).

At this point I'm starting to question if it was a fever dream, but I swear there was a video of Andy Hull doing a small in-store acoustic thing shortly after the JL news broke and a member of the audience asked him for his thoughts on it and Andy's response was some version of "I will never work with JL again." I've looked and looked for that video in recent years but cannot find it anywhere. T

The most cynical reading of this (which mine tends to be lol) is he drew a hard line then because he had to protect his career and his band. I’d imagine as the years roll on, especially if you’re close friends, the “but he’s grown” mentality would set in.

that’s just my 2 cents and complete speculation.

I think it’s also very possible that he might be friends with him but isn’t touring/collaborating

  14. This definitely happened and I’m like 90% sure it was at a screening for Swiss Army Man in Atlanta. I think the audience member asked if MO would tour with BN again and he gave a pretty emphatic no.

Wasn’t Andy implicated in weird behavior with Jesse back in the day or am I thinking of someone else?

  16. I believe he was present for some of Jesse's behavior as detailed previously in this thread, but the survivor asked folks not to focus too much on Andy/Kevin and has since needed to step back a bit from posting as much in here, so I'm not sure how much she wants it brought back up.

There was another story told by an old AP.net user that is unrelated to Jesse's behavior that involves Andy calling him a slur while drunk.

It's one thing to rightfully call for accountability, but to suggest someone should be treated as a pariah forever feels completely unreasonable to me. I really hope I'm misunderstanding you.

On the other hand, treating someone that should be held accountable like it's okay that they haven’t isn't a good look either. It's giving "they paid their dues" vibes when they clearly haven’t.

Does anyone know if "that band" played to an empty arena last night to kick off the tour? Was anyone foolish enough to open for them?

when you use the platform your career gives you to take advantage of teenagers, you're rightfully going to be treated as a pariah.

the band and it's camp made an active decision to do this tour because they want to.

you don't get to leave on the terms they did and come back scot-free in good graces with everyone.

go do anything else brand new, literally anything else. your drummer can keep flying planes, your lead guitarist can teach meditative practices, your bass player can do whatever bass players do after their band breaks up, and jesse can try again at giving those he betrayed a proper apology.

i loved this band. i really really loved this band. i can't tell people how to spend their money, but i sure am tired of fans simply telling people to move on from something very serious that was never addressed with the care it deserves. this is a shit show from top to bottom.

I didn't say anything disagreeing with these points. The band itself can fuck off. I was frustrated with the belief that an individual needing to be held accountable is being dished shit about keeping relationships with loved ones based off a one-off reddit comment claiming they saw two friends together at a Starbucks.

Feel free to correct me if I'm misunderstanding you - but I absofuckinglutely intend to treat JL as a pariah forever until he has actually taken some accountability for his actions other than a blanket statement in 2017.

Point us to any sources whatsoever, but as far as the I am aware, he and the band have done nothing to earn back their place on a stage. I'm not unreasonable, I am totally open to redemption and absolutely believe people can learn, grow, and become better than who they were before, and honestly I would really like to be able to listen to one of my (former) favorite bands again.

But until there is evidence of that happening, with acceptance from the people that he hurt (the ones who can define what form that accountability can take), I certainly don't want anything to do with them and will be questioning the morals of everyone who is okay with being associated with him.

edit based on your reply above: For the record, I don't want Andy to be implicated here and would only change my current (good) opinion of him with some real evidence otherwise as well, not a random reddit post.
