Love All Under Heaven too what a bizarre thing for them to do

  3. Found a livestream they did with Hyde about four or five years ago, seems they've been pals for a while unfortunately

i would assume that metal in general leans more right or at least center politically as a whole

  6. I don't think that's the case at all. Mainstream rock as a whole seems to be center, but like punk, metal music is more often counterculture than any kind of specific ideology. You obviously have the Nazism of some black metal and some famous conservatives in bands like Pantera, but as a whole, especially now, I would absolutely not call metal a more right-leaning genre

  7. Hyde has always had an oddly broad pool of acquaintances. I think it is mostly famous people who were friends/thought he was funny back when he was somewhat more plausibly claiming the nazism was ironic, which he still maintains to some extent afaik. There are also weird moments like when Seth Abramovitch asked him about the standup set where he just said a bunch of hateful shit about gay people and Hyde personally apologized. He's a slimy little weirdo, cant just be a nazi with his chest

BN TOPIC: heard from someone close to the situation that they can’t get openers because no one wants to associate with them.

They deserve to have their shows opened by a local improv group made up of dudes who have been banned from their home theaters.

That's hilarious to hear. You'd think that would've been something they would've had locked in BEFORE announcing the tour.
Also took another peek at some of these seating charts. With the tour starting in 2 weeks I can't see how they don't either cancel shows or downgrade to smaller venues. Rochester especially. Looks like they sold 500 tickets in a 14,000 cap arena.

What a loser. It’s really not an “injustice” that someone is in jail for shooting someone else. Especially someone continuing a hate campaign against the victim from jail. (Even in terms of abolition, there are many people who are incarcerated that are far more deserving of pardons than Tory Lanez.)

It’s really not a coincidence that men like Drake, Tory, Adin Ross, Akademiks, DDG, etc. are all friends.

    So, to review:

    - No opener
    - $5 tickets
    - No photography allowed (empty arenas = bad)
    - People paid $500 to stand next to a merch table
    - Venues still have thousands of unsold seats
    - Ticket resellers taking massive losses
    - Fans begging for refunds on Reddit
    - Venue comment sections disabled
    - Merch prices not even posted yet (???)
    - No press coverage except forum threads and subreddits
    - Stage banter likely to be nonexistent
    - Band/team has made zero statements
    - Survivors still being ignored

This tour is turning into a case study.
