When I went to Universal studios when I was like 8 years old, I went to a live show and got picked out of the crowd of kids to get slimed. It tasted gross
I was def a "stage fright" type of kid who had no desire to get up there and do it, despite young me always wanting to get slimed lol...I vividly remember when they asked, every kid in the crowd's hand shot up, all wiggling and doing the "ooo oo me me!" move, meanwhile I just looked back at my mom and she was like "raise your hand!" so I very half heartedly raised it up trying my best to project a "please don't pick me" look which of course resulted in me getting picked lol I also remember messing up one of my lines, because the host (a mark summers knock off) told me that after he asked the second question, he said "You say nothing"....which I took as "Don't say anything at all", but when the time came and I didn't say anything, after a few seconds of silence and me looking around awkwardly he whispered "Say "nothing"" lol
That’s the same argument my 9 year old makes when he gets in trouble for doing the same dumb shit as his friends. If you’re too distracted by the guy moshing in a banana suit to watch the band you paid to go see, find a band that can hold your attention.
End It are not the only band/artist sick of going onstage to perform their art and a show they worked their asses off to prepare for, only to see fans doing goofy shit for social media attention with costumes or props or whatever else. Know the artist you’re seeing and have a basic respect for their artistic space. Some artists don’t care and encourage it. Great. Not all artists put up with it. Also great.
It’s a banana costume, not MAGA merch. Weird thing to argue that tearing it off the person is justified just bc it’s distracting or bc they’re doing it for attention
I, too, opt for a banana costume when I'm going out to a social event but don't want to draw too much attention to my true self
it's also not really an accountability issue. i don't think we're going to hold the dude from obscure denny's hardcore band accountable for this lol
Well, it's normal clothes so about 100% less distracting and obnoxious than a banana costume for one edit: nevermind, please ignore this reply, I don't want to contribute to this conversation lasting any longer lol
Any costume ideas for when I see Grouper in a church? Had to cancel the order for my banana because of this thread.
