i'm torn about that post. on the one hand, i have no doubts that chappell is capable of pulling this kinda shit. they seem pretty on record about being unhappy with many elements of celebrity life. on the other hand, i can't help but grain of salt anything a professional athlete says about a situation heavily involving various other luxuries...especially a situation that they weren't personally there for? Unless i misread that post and they actually were there?

idk maybe i'm asking too many questions about a situation in which all parties are fucking rich. no winners

 

I really don't want to derail this into being about the dress, but on the other hand I might not ever have an opportunity to comment on this again, so I'm just going to shrug my shoulders, say I think it looks weird and I'm surprised that's not the default take here and leave it at that.

The version of events described in that post, if taken at face value, sounds like a kinda shitty situation, but also. I’m not willing to automatically take it at face value. And, whether this turns out to be an asshole moment on Chappell’s end or not (which yeah, isn’t the same thing as “accountability” as this thread is meant for, lol), I’m very much so side-eyeing anyone who’s like, “she’s at it again! She’s so insufferable!”

 

I just think the whole thing is silly. She’s one of the biggest stars in the world. Of course she’s sketched out by anyone scoping out her table, nepo baby or not. Of course her security guard doesn’t care about said nepo baby. “More bad press!” And “fuck her” feels like a joke

 

At worse her bodyguard overreacted which is arguably her fault

I know she sucks now but this is always true
