This sadly makes sense and also helps put into perspective for me why so many bands I once considered to at the very least be anti-authority/anti-establishment took a hard right turn during COVID.

I hate to say it, but AI in music is going to be so common that it almost deserves a separate thread from this even if it is comprised of almost unanimous criticism.
The problem is, we're not going to even know 99% of the time, there's no rules or relations requiring it, so it'll definitely just start showing up in little places at first, finishing a drum fill, background vocals, etc
an infuriating future to be certain. getting frustrated over minutiae is part of the best reasons to be an artist. can’t imagine choosing to farm those steps out. Humanity was a bad call
