Got accused by someone of "pretend to be super upset about it because they lack meaning in their empty lives and want to pretend they are standing for something by being upset on the Internet" for posting the Cedric posts in a topic about LP coming back, there's gonna be plenty of people with that attitude enough for LP to rake in the money and coast with it if they want to lol

 

The LP subreddit is also filled with folks trying their best to employ cognitive reframing techniques.

 

This is what's truly upsetting because I thought they were better than that. You'd think I'd learn by now to always expect disappointment from my heroes, and yet here we are, I'm fooled again.

I'm usually a separate the artist from the art kind of guy but the Linkin Park situation is truly a worst case scenario and a complete slap in the face to Chester's legacy. What a shame.

 

In the last year, we've gotten one of the best reunitings (blink) and now one of the worst with LP. Between all this scandal, and the fact that they casually snuck in Brad not being involved in a touring capacity the day after the announcement, this whole thing feels so poorly done and vetted. It's amazing how quickly a lot of us went from being so excited to so disappointed about it all. But if we use Marilyn Manson and his sell-out European tour as any indication, I'm inclined to say 95% of people won't give a shit and they'll rake in the dough regardless.

Oh thanks for sharing, I honestly didn’t see that or know the backstory about his son’s relationship with the band.

 

Is it possible that he didn’t know and that’s why he’s posting it? Women’s soccer community is pretty on top of these things and no one knew until they found the post she liked. I don’t think they were high profile about it until recently

Oh I’m in agreement with you, I was just clarifying that the Jack picture is from earlier in the year since I couldn’t tell if you knew that from your post (and in case others did not know). It definitely feels unfair to criticize him.
