It’s crazy but probably a good decision for their and their crew’s safety. The “future creative plans on hold” line is a bit more concerning/bummer, though - that definitely feels like some career-protecting ass covering, which I get but it still kinda sucks.

 

Not surprising, JB is incredibly charming and likable but he's been drinking the Hollywood Democrat Shill kool-aid for a long time now. I don't know if that makes him a Zionist though. Apathetic, sure, and it sucks that people with a stage and a voice aren't using it to put pressure where it matters.

I read the statement and my take away is less "he supports this" and more "people probably asked him to make a statement".

 

Being clear, I am not going to bat for Jack Black. I just didn't know if there was something more substantial I missed.

It's irrelevant since neither of us know what Jack Black is actually thinking, but when I think "Zionist" I think of someone who actually believes it and is clearly anti-Palestine vs. someone who is just making a show statement so people will keep giving him money.

I guess in the grand scheme of things it does the same amount of damage, but again, I just thought I missed something more substantial.

This is the guitarist from Camp Trash whom worked with Mo Troper recently. After allegations of Mo being an abuser came out from his Ex, said band Camp Trash continued to work with him anyways. Even tried to call the ex a liar essentially from what I remember.

honestly, I think it has more to do with them being outside the country and having politicians trying to get them deported. I also think he doesn’t want to stir up any massive drama as the press tour for Borderlands is likely about to start and if this exploded, it would likely overshadow the film/be the only question he gets asked. Which… from what I’ve heard about Borderlands… it’s horrible and is gonna need all the good press it can get.

That’s not to agree or disagree with what he said. I just think it’s largely a PR move.
