I didn't realize Ronnie radke has a tiktok making jokes like "not bad for a murderer" with commenters laughing at how funny he is and how he murdered cancel culture. Bleak.

 

He also said this about “being cancelled” in his latest song

 

The hook from that song is also, like, directly stolen from Falling In the Black by Skillet, so I guess reactionary butt-rockers have a unified sound.

 

I’ve noticed some dudes in the music scene who have been called out for their awful behavior have likened cancel culture to abuse. Pretty gross. Davey Muise being one of them, disappointingly.

Bummer to hear about Davey bc his backstory is pretty insane and I know at one point he did a lot of speaking at schools in front of kids. Not sure what he is up to now since the band stopped, but him having some harmful views is potentially more impactful than just sharing it on a social media site.

 

So many cis white straight men use cancel culture to fearmonger. I guess when u don't have to worry about being oppressed for real, it's the only thing they feel they have to fear.

 

He’d started a new band but then allegations came out against him and he went kinda silent and social media MIA for awhile. Now he just posts some regular stuff mixed with “cancel culture is abuse” rhetoric.

 

I didn’t know he started a new band and that he had his own allegations. That’s very sad to hear. Wasn’t really a Vanna listener either, but when I heard his story and him speaking at schools I thought that was a really good thing. I can’t imagine the cancel culture stuff makes it into a his public speaking at schools, but the fact it’s there in other places sucks. Really messy situation all around when you consider his own allegations and his background, but especially feel bad for his victims.

 

The band decided the best option was to reply to all these allegations in a vague manner and only on their Facebook page so here’s a screenshot.





I haven’t kept up with the band in recent years but would regularly listen to their music at some point. This is so disappointing to read.

 

there's some quite strange stuff in nancy's accusations, though, most of all when she says sue werner needs to be held accountable for not speaking out when nancy had earlier said sue was a victim.

edit: just to clarify, not denying any of her allegations, this band can still get in the bin.

 

I would imagine writing all of that out was quite heavy on her, possibly even feeling relieved after finishing. But yeah, those kinds of posts definitely require meticulousness.

i do wonder, though, if she meant burglary or petty/grand theft rather than committing acts of robbery. If dude was robbing people that would mean he was using force/intimidation tactics to take money from people (e.g. threatening to hurt a person physically/asking for money while pointing a weapon at them).

 

Probably the latter, I got the feeling she was using "robbing" in the colloquial sense and not the legal one.

 

Since Ronnie Radke was just brought up in here:

It’s been said before but not enough, fuck Warped Tour forever for giving this man any sort of platform and fuck any concert venues that book this band and give Ronnie a stage to endanger others and spew his bullshit.

 

The comments said that he had covid before the tour started, not at the show.

That said I wouldn't be shocked if Ronald tried to get away with having covid on tour
