Spot on about the performative display that is unfortunately the loudest when it happens to be about someone that other groups of people seem comfortable piling on and degrading online.

Of course I understand that it is very difficult to expose, renounce, or question people that make music or art that personally means something to you but, idk I just see the line drawn in the sand is waaaay far away for some bands/members of certain scenes and is quite close for others

Yeah, sometimes I'll catch myself actually feeling good about how I feel like progress is being made and then read comment sections on anything like this and am reminded that we have made next to no progress whatso-goddamn-ever.

I don’t - I’ve never heard of this band before but I saw that tweet in my feed so I wanted to share it

I would assume they contributed guest vox to a track - there is nothing about it on the their socials

 

^Yeah, awakebutstillinbed tweeted the other day that they did guest vox on track 2 of that single. But that tweet is also deleted now, so I would guess they didn’t know this.
