I came across this on Instagram. I feel like if your response is “we book what fits with the lineup” and not “you’re right, our festival should be more diverse” then you’re not putting the work in. Also the “sorry we didn’t book the bands you wanted in the order you wanted” is pretty condescending to a queer/trans run record label just trying to get more representation at music festivals.

Their own workers are also trying to unionize (https://twitter.com/p4kunion) as the writers are paid minimum wage or grossly underpaid (see below tweet) yet nothing has been done to move the unionization process forward on Pitchfork's end.

I would take any speculation the BN reddit has with the largest grain of salt. While I wouldn’t put it past the band to mount a reunion, BN stans are so delusional that they’ll glom on to any hint of it happening and run with it.

 

What's gross to me (well, among many other things) is wasn't there the whole thing about planning to call it quits in 2018? If that was their intention but now they're coming back I don't know how you take that other than "fuck you, we'll do what we like"

Yeah idk they were going to end the band forever anyway in 2018 so I take these rumblings with a huge grain of salt given both their source and what we know about BN.

That said if it does somehow wind up being true, fuck them and anyone that supports them.
