Not disputing any claims, just curious as to why the last poster listed Andy Vila as a member of B&C when I don’t believe he has any ties to that band? They had the same lineup until their breakup (outside of a guitarist change very early on who was named Daniel.)

 

Didn’t Andy play some of those last few shows with them?

He filled in on bass for their last full US tour back in 2017. Always feels weird that their name gets tied to his, but it’s also perhaps the least important part of it all

 

Has anyone been following that “industry plant” pop punk band from TikTok? Apparently they are signed with Dr. Luke and they are racist and their songs deal with sexual assault (victim blamey type lyrics). I wish someone with enough power could stop Dr. Luke because even stuff like this is truly harmful.

Dr. Luke has his hands on so much that it’s pretty much impossible for him to go away. His publishing company Prescription Songs, cited in this, has Dua Lipa, Ava Max, Lauv and Doja Cat as clients. That’s not even to mention the multiple hits he has right now as a producer and has more mainstream artists working him on a weekly basis. It absolutely sucks.

 

everything with Kemosabe Records is extremely murky too. It used to be his imprint on Sony, then they removed him from his own label.... but recently he's been involved in a lot of Kemosabe music, so..... did they actually fire him or was it all just PR?
