Was just coming here to post that since a sizable number of fans actually seem to be holding him accountable compared to when Nick was accused of rape. This comment got me

I forget the exact details but they talked about it in the documentary. He had some actual vocal problem and then developed severe anxiety around it so doctors were all saying he was fine to sing but he still couldn't get notes out. Someone did a bunch of then and now comparisons

Edit: I guess it's technically stress and less anxiety? There are some interviews spliced in and out of that video I just posted. Basically sounds like someone put his vocal chords in a blender though

And re: Tommy in Bad Wolves, the guy has been a MAGA-spouting conspiracy driven idiot for years. Seeing people surprised he supported Trump absolutely baffles me.

Tommy got kicked out of every band he's been in. I knew when Bad Wolves started he would get tossed out. I remember when he came out as a guest singer during a Deftones show in New Jersey a few years ago, and everyone was like, "Who the fuck is this guy?"

 

there does seem to be a movement to hold faves accountable more with Hanson and LDR, and the whole Anna De Armas thing which is cool

it still sucks how they treated Melissa though

 

The Hanson stuff is wild. I haven't really kept up with it but I really feel for black fans who have spent tons of money on the band having to watch it all unfold.

I've been thinking about the Nick Carter stuff a lot recently with the Britney feature and the Masked Singer happening. It just seems like aside from making an initial statement he never really had to face it. Which, like, I can throw a rock and hit 50 white men that's true for but regardless it's frustrating.

They also still upload videos (music related) to a YouTube channel which get at least a couple thousand views each. I feel like at this point it’s just people who don’t care watching the videos which is disappointing.

 

Well yeah and also just because I'm sure plenty of people have just flat-out not stopped listening to their music and recommending it to other people. Somebody who has no knowledge of what went down with them would have no reason to know about that stuff on their own.

Yeah this response is really...something else. It feels like his family is making an excuse for his actions rather than apologizing to Charlie and others who he has abused in the past.
