  1. Because, as documented by quite a few people, 'society' has become much more blatant and obvious about bigotry since Trump's election. So, at the very least our 'society' is giving more cover and allowing the dredges of it to voice their shittiness in ways many of us haven't seen in our lifetime. People are emboldened, the volume's been turned up.

well yeah, trump allowing people to justify their horrible beliefs as well as social media making it easier for people to give cover to their beliefs makes it more obvious, but people have had these thoughts always. nothing changed, it just became more obvious

Xxx’s victims are what’s most important here, like I really don’t care that he died, but I feel like his record label is about to make bank off a black man’s death, and that doesn’t sit well with me.

people haven't gotten worse, they just feel more comfortable being open about how bad they are

  5. And that's, IMO, a change in society. The underlying thoughts/subversive actions were always there. But society is catering to it, enhancing it, highlighting it, in ways I haven't seen in my lifetime.

And not a dime of it will go to his victims or any charity. His victims are going to be overlooked even more so now than before, and his record label is just gonna be getting richer! And not give a shit!

We've had openly proud nazis marching in the streets. It's definitely worse now than it was before Trump was elected - at least compared to certain periods in my lifetime. That doesn't mean it was great before or that there weren't shitty people - that'll always be true.

I'll sleep easier tonight knowing there's one less piece of shit abusive, homophobic, misogynist dick in the world. Fuck that dude and fuck everyone sending their condolences. I hope his victims can find peace.

My lil sis text me about his death to say she was gonna cry. I was like oh well he was an awful person. And she got upset at me and was like so he deserves to die???? Like 1) didnt say that and 2) as a victim of past abuse I couldn't care less honestly. If my abuser died I'd feel a huge sense of relief, and my abuser wasn't even like 10x as awful as xxx. Hope his victims are able to feel relief, and I am so sad for them that they have to see all the comments uplifting him in death

Reddit had a list of all the rappers tweeting out messages for him. I'm all on board the celebrating death train now, really don't want his disgusting actions and the pain of his victims forgotten.

I don't comment too often tbh. I prefer to read all the comments after a post is done. I did once get ripped into by a kkkamila stan for saying nobody was really watching or cared about her set when she opened for Bruno on my date, which is true cause Havana hadn't dropped yet. My only ~dramatic interaction lol

Ross Farrar posting that he’s listening to xxx on his IG story... like, can we please not do this? Please? There are women who suffered at the hands of this man. I don’t care how great you think his music is. He was a vile human. Fuck.

And being openly bigoted is worse than doing that bullshit in private where nobody can see it or hopefully affected by it.

i just don't think people have actually changed regardless of how they are expressing everything. it's more about comfort than people actually changing

that's just how i see it though.

I really hope most of the celebs tweeting about this don’t know the terrible things he did but that’s extremely naive of me
