Who is this dude?

 

A rapper that did some really fucked up things, again just what @cwhit said I really hope the victims find some peace.

 

A man who beat up, kidnapped, sexually assaulted and emotionally manipulated his pregnant ex girlfriend. Then he tried to kill a man he thought was gay in prison and bragged about it in an interview.

 

And now he's being celebrated as some kind of saint.

Twitter. At least, the majority of the tweets I've seen have been like that.

The whole thing is truly shocking. To go from seemingly untouchable and continuing to profit off of hatred and misogyny to being gunned down in the street. It’s almost like whiplash to read about it. Every time his name comes up in this thread I’m disgusted at the person he is, but there’s no accountability in being shot in broad daylight and having the video spread online and it’s also hard to feel peace about anyone dying from gun violence. I really hope the people he hurt can find whatever relief possible and get on with their lives safely.

People seem to be insistent on stopping short of wishing this guy dead, why is that? He’d have harmed countless more people had he carried on his life path. Mourn his lost childhood or whatever it was that made him this way, but don’t mourn a vile disgusting person who caused violent harm on countless others. Our species is better off.

 

Never gonna celebrate anyone dying but I feel pretty apathetic towards this.

 

It's going to be a bunch of Rip tweets about how he was such a good person, etc. while everyone disregards his victims even more. Bullshit.

 

I hope for their sake that everyone he has hurt is kept far away from any martyrdom and that it doesn’t get beyond gross comments on twitter or reddit. He does not deserve to be glorified and remembered forever.

 

It's the same as getting mad at De Niro for saying " fuck Trump" but not being mad about the administration
