Didn’t that dude also come super close to shooting up his high school when he was younger? That guy is weird af. I’m really not surprised based on how terrible his lyrics are.

I definitely remember this being talked about, but it didn't gain as much traction as it appears to be gaining now, especially since there's talk of underage girls involved. I just vaguely remember hearing something about him being grossly abusive/using BDSM as a cover. It also looks like he's deleting comments asking him to address the allegations. This situation is so fucked up and gross.

 

He absolutely did. I'm pretty sure I read it in Kerrang! when I was younger and was talking about that and being addicted to heroin.

Also I was looking this up last night and found an article from a girl talking about her trying to decide if she can still enjoy BN post the Jesse allegations. In the comments was a girl talking about how she saw Aiden when she was like 15, and he grabbed her head and pulled it right into his crotch. Seems the guy has been doing fucked up shit for years.

 

I was a fan for so long re: Wil Francis. I thought the BDSM stuff was weird but I had no idea how deep it ran. I’m so grossed out.

 

I used to go to Aiden shows and I believe it. He always gave me the creepy sociopath vibe and I wouldn’t trust him near his female fans by himself. I had nothing to go with other than just being uncomfortable in his presence and it’s a shame that there’s more to it.

 

I never saw them live (I was a fan between 13-16 years old (I had an aiden bag and hoodie and everything) and then kinda stopped caring after Knives. Got the chance to go a while back to their farewell tour but I'm glad I didn't now.

 

Looks like he deleted the post on Facebook talking about new music coming soon.

 

I've been googling his name and can't find any other music news sites covering this. I'm shocked they haven't all ran with this story.

 

part of it is because there isn't that much that publications can actually say and part of it is because who even knows who he is in the year 2018

 

Ahh this is true. He was pretty much an after thought to me before this story came out.

 

It's good to see the Jared Leto stuff is getting wider spread in terms of people picking up on it. People in Hollywood have bee hinting and tweeting about it, and people are talking about it online. I feel that is the next one to really break.

 

I heard stories about him being a super creep on the set for Suicide Squad.

 

I hope so. That one has been such a long time coming.

 

I wouldn’t even call them stories at this point. He was confirmed to have been harassing coworkers with “pranks” that were disgusting, and he was publicly accused of sexually harassing someone in the film. And that’s just one movie.

 

That's what I heard. I didn't mean to call them stories, but he always was a douchebag. I never found a redeeming quality about even before this stuff came out.

 

He’s creeped me out ever since Warped 06 when I could hear his arrogant and needlessly sexual comments from like halfway across the venue. He’s just awful and he doesn’t even try to hide it. I worry for the day it drops because I’m sure his diehard fans will be despicable about it.

 

I understand the impulse to say stuff like this, but please keep in mind that discussing the quality of art by abusive people and saying things in the vein of "well I always knew he sucked/not surprised!" is really unhelpful. Especially to victims who were caught in a cycle of abuse and then have to read a bunch of people online saying it comes as no surprise- it can come of as shaming/blaming. I'm sure that wasn't your intent at all, just something to keep in mind when discussing sensitive situations like this.

 

I only meant that I, myself, am not surprised that Francis is a weirdo. I would always tell my friend who dragged me to Aiden shows that Francis was probably a creep so I know most fans didn’t know or pick up what stuff Francis was capable of. A lot of it had to do with me knowing he tried shooting up his own school which I know a lot of other people are not aware of due to the limited publications of it. I wasn’t meaning to imply that everyone else should have picked up on it if the wording seemed that way.

 

I’ve shared some personal thoughts about having bad vibes from people (even on this current page), but I’ve really been trying to be conscious of not writing anything that sounds like bragging or putting someone down who may have respected that person and been hurt by them, and a lot of that thought process comes from this forum. It’s the same idea as not saying, “Oh at least we have so and so who is safe and would never do this!” when someone may have a story that they decide not to tell because of comments like that.

There’s definitely nothing wrong with bringing up past feelings or trying to be more aware of what someone was/is telling us about themselves in their art or their public image that may be hiding a deeper truth (as in looking at Woody Allen’s filmography and his obsession with romances involving young girls), there are just better ways we can discuss those warning signs without sounding like we were too smart to be fooled or something that dismisses the people affected.

 

Boasting was definitly not in my mind. I was merely posting my first initial reaction to the news. I didn’t even think it could be taken that way until you and Kayla replied.
