This is so weird to see. Being from the UK, the Christianity side of the "scene" was always very alien to me, and it's weird to see the contrast in that video.

Also, as far as Underoath go, I feel like they've done and said plenty of disappointing shit in the past. Aaron has always seemed like a giant douche, but I'll be the first to acknowledge that's not relevant to this thread, sorry!

 

Underoath has a long history & even very recent decisions that solidify they suck.

I cannot imagine a US festival crowd with this energy and it's lovely to see.

 

The UK and Irish (especially Irish) crowds are so overwhelmingly anti-Israel. I say that as someone who just got home from a Kneecap & Fontaines DC gig.

 

Irish relate to Palestine as if Israel is the British occupation of the 19th century…they also have a huge anti senitism problem

Criticism of Israel, and speaking out about their ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, is not, and never has been, antisemitic. Free Palestine.

 

The two are becoming more conflated everyday thanks to ADL and the media and our AIPAC bought politicians. Meanwhile zionists get to not only spew racist rhetoric about Palestinians and lately Iran, they also get to actually enact overtly racist policies and carry out a genocide against Palestinians precisely because they are not Jewish and are living on land the Zionists want. Israel is by far the largest perpetrator of conflation between Jews and Israel. Palestine needs to be freed from Israel, the Palestinian resistance fights for their liberation. No one here is falling for your lazy talking points, it's not 2010 anymore.

 

What evidence do you have that people who are criticizing Israel aren’t separating Jewish people in general from Israel? And when we say Zionists we mean anyone who supports Israel and it’s goal of occupation and expansion, which is more than just Jewish people or Israelis as evidenced by so many politicians and people of influence in this country. The actual antisemitic right wing has always generalized and conflated mostly untrue things with all Jewish people but it has nothing to do and never has with criticism of Israel. I’ve even seen Palestinians who I wouldn’t blame for hating all of the ethnic group that is exterminating them separate the two. The conflation has clearly come from the pro Israel side.
And your last point is just flat out wrong. Israel and Zionists are racists toward Palestinians because they are not Jewish. That’s it. That’s why they stole their land and put them in an open air concentration camp and stop them from having autonomy or being able to participate in Israeli decision making. Hamas arose as a resistance to this racism and oppression.
