This is such a world that I cannot wrap my head around - the one where bands like this and Ronnie Radke's bullshit apparently have a huge audience. Who are these people and just why?

 

Ice Nine Kills are a bunch of fucking dorks and this AI bullshit is not surprising at all

 

Literally their target demographic, that being contrarian tryhards and other might-is-right types.

This debacle got me thinking about how we deal with stuff like this, it always feels like a no-win situation. Call out AI use? Doubling down in response plus the satisfaction of knowing they pissed the right people off. Not call it out? Continues to happen (which likely would happen anyway) and it becomes normalized that they do it. When shame and embarrassment aren’t deterrents for showing your ass, you’re left with ignoring them entirely and…?

I do feel like some of the people we talk about in here, like Kanye and Ronnie Randke are better off ignored. They get off on attention and hate. Not being talked about genuinely upsets them more than being talked about negatively

 

Yeah I would almost love if we write off people like that entirely from being mentioned here, but I get it. Always new eyes and ears around.

I am like 95% sure my mother has one somewhere. She may have turned it into a pillow for me at some point and it was lost during one of the many moves over the years. But she did have one at one point, that I remember.

Unfortunately since I poked my head in the BN subreddit once I now get random notifications about popular new posts there. Just saw one that pissed me off. The tour opener is tomorrow in Seattle, and apparently JL and Andy Hull were spotted in town together eating. God I really hope Manchester Orchestra didnt sign on to open these shows....

 

Not here to speculate. If there's a tour opener, it will certainly be telling

 

not sure how the schedules cross if at all but MO is opening for incubus all summer i'm pretty sure
