I support shock therapy for Nazis

    99% won’t work but who’s to say it won’t after 50 attempts?

My thoughts exactly when they announced the shows…I know they’ve played big venues before but I think this is bigger than they have ever played in most cities…also to the above point about the GA pricing at those bigger venues…def feel like those ticket prices are compensating for lack of sales in other seats

its an AEG tour, meaning they paid BN a huge advance and handled all the booking. AEG wants as much of a return as possible, so they put them in as big of venues as they reasonably could do in each market (they own at least 8 of them) and are working every trick in the book to manufacture demand and squeeze every last penny. BN probably had some level of say in venues, but ultimately what do they care if they are cashing in, they know the situation they are in and likely understand this is their one shot at a big tour.

I had posted earlier questioning how the financials would work...like does AEG/Brand New stand to make more by selling out say a 3K venue or by selling say 5-7K tickets to a 10K venue?

Oh that album will probably top the charts for the rest of the year. Best to just ignore it. Tate McRae should be ashamed to be on it.

Oh country music is huge in the UK, it has been for the last few years in particular but it was a slow and steady rise thanks to the C2C festival which happens at the O2 in London every year and that festival has won over new fans of country music and since then country music artists tour the UK a lot, both homegrown and from the states and Canada selling out small venues and arenas!!

yeah country music in the UK has been a thing as far back as Gram Parsons hanging out with The Rolling Stones. Granted that's a far fucking cry from some pud who's too old to be wearing his hat backwards fake-drawling about struggles he's never actually faced, but still

Came in here to discuss the ADTR / Yellowcard tour stuff.

Am I reading this stuff in the Yellowcard thread correctly? They’re really touring with them? Shit makes me exhausted of everything.

Do they sing about the same cliche country stuff too? Trucks, working in the mud, doing extra shifts to pay for an engagement ring etc?

I'm having a hard time to imagine British country music. I do feel like Charlie Simpson or Jamie Lenman would do great at this.

In case you needed more of a reason to dislike them, Ice Nine Kills, a band that charged people to be in their music video instead of simply hiring actors like decent "filmmakers," has begun to advertise their overpriced merch by using AI instead of hiring artists.
