Found a guy

 

Oh yeah, I listened to that band’s first album when it came out ‘cause I was in the mood for a specific kind of hardcore at the time. Completely forgot about that.

Kinda funny to me that a band that at least used to be “hardcore” is leaning into generative AI slop.

 

On the other side, I heard ‘68 tell a joke at their show last year that said

“Yeah, we are using AI: ACTUAL Intelligence” and I thought “we deserve the computers to take over”

I 100% approve of Josh Scogin doing what he wants, including mocking AI garbage in a shamelessly corny way.

surprised more people didn't put 2 and 2 together on that one earlier after multiple instances of him explaining that every band that's worth a shit that he's worked with doesn't want to work with him anymore for ambiguous reasons that are definitely not his fault at all

 

Yeah, I honestly forgot all about that part of the argument. It's always sad to see someone so clearly intelligent/articulate use it to defend stealing from/not paying other people for their work.

 

Yeah this is bullshit. I was just looking at the venue yesterday and there was still actual platinum tickets available besides resale. I doubt those sold over the cheaper resale tickets.

 

Just caught up on the Hundredth stuff, I think I may have listened to some music in the past from them but not enough to fully commit to memory.

Good way for me to never listen to their music no matter how good it is, and the other posters trying to defend it lol

 

yup, been thinking this a lot but haven’t wanted to be the one to say it lol. and also just the fact that he works for questionable people in the first place is a huge red flag imo, regardless of then falling out with them

The one thing I'll give Sam is that a couple years ago he outed Matt Kennedy of The Dangerous Summer for drugging women's drinks and that's why he got kicked out of the band.

 

I have doubts he did it for virtuous reasons

 

well despite his more socialist leaning lyrics from the revolt/resist era, he does not believe that way anymore
