Yeah, at the end of the day it’s some really dark subject matter and he’s also alluded to some stuff about his mom in that post and previous posts lately that I feel it should just be left alone at this point.

He’s still ranting and raving about Jewish people and how Hitler was good, etc. etc. I ponder if everything is just for shock factor at this point.

I truly hate what Kanye has become but I actually feel more sad for him and those close to him…not only in this instance of past trauma but it seems like with professional help and the right medication he was able to conquer the industry…like the supports were there and seems like he was taking advantage of them and now….ya know just sucks bc there are so many people who don’t realize that help is even out there

Apparently AEG sent Fauxchella (put on by Summit Shack) cease & desist papers & they’re just gonna be called Faux now. Any copyright lawyers (or Nathan Fielder) lurking in here that can explain if this is warranted?

 

A small local comedy theater called their annual festival [name of theater]chella and got a C&D too years ago.

 

not an attorney (finished law school and married to one) but typically if the name of something is a deliberate play off the name of something else and conjures the more prominent user of the name before it, then it isn’t going to stand

like they absolutely named it as a play off of coachella in the first place. sucks but something they probably should have thought of to begin with

 

sort of confused why coachella suing fauxchella is being discussed in the “accountability in music” thread. seems off topic? also shutting down the kanye talk subsequently makes zero sense

Apparently she's been injured before during shows like her hip and she also has health conditions so like I don't really know if this qualifies as accountability but I just took a cursory glance at the situation.

 

The account says “parody account” on it, so I can’t tell if it’s being serious? But isn’t that from the ‘Paparazzi’ music video?

 

A very quick google search shows she had a hip injury that almost required a hip replacement and she’s not even 40. She’s clearly making a a nod to herself. I’d assume she probably still has pain associated with it.

 

That was from her Coachella performance from a couple weeks ago.

 

she also has an invisible illness, she's in recovery from fibromyalgia for now but she had to temper touring because of it for years

 

Please do not take that account seriously, this post is bullshit. I’m a physical therapist and calling fibromyalgia a lie is ridiculous.

 

It does indeed say it's a parody account and it even retweets people parodying "outrage" about her with it.

The hip injury was after her Paparazzi video in which she originally does it, but in terms of accountability I don't overly feel like this is really needed? Hope I'm not coming off as ableist with it but I dunno, I don't think she's ever been mocking disabilities with it.
