The subreddit alone watches every word. There's no way BN's own people aren't in here when they know about the site and Aiyana is speaking about it on here.

brand new sucks

 

Idk who they’re working with nowadays, but there were members of their previous team who were at one time involved and very aware of this website.

 

Fitting that the only CD I have that’s rotting is a Brand New mix I made in HS.

 

As corny as it sounds, Jason’s name and absolutepunk carry a lot of weight in this “scene” and amongst these bands. Quite honestly the front page of the punk rock internet for a long time.

 

I have a strange feeling something insane is going to happen this week. As if we don’t live in a hell scape. My gut is saying expect the worse.

 

I gave away TD&GARIM vinyl on Friday. I don’t see myself ever putting it on again. Weird how it was such a sought after record, and I gave it away without a second thought. I don’t think there’s ever been a band that has disappointed me more.

 

I keep forgetting to get rid of mine. Debating if I should sell it to my local record store or just toss it, but I don’t want it to just be sitting in a landfill somewhere.

Same with my copy of I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child. Just super weirded out about Andy Hull now after the comment he made to Aiyana’s mother that she shared

This is hilarious to me because I shit posted so much in Brand New threads between here and AP for like a decade.

 

I have TDAG and Deja vinyls and Kanye CDs that are just taking up space now. Not sure if I want to sell/donate them, because passing them on to someone else somehow feels wrong.

 

Yeah I've let my Kanye vinyl take up space for a similar reason

 

sell them to a record store. it keeps Kanye and Brand New from making money off someone else buying the records/cds new.

 

Just sell it to some loser BN fans and donate the money to charity.

 

i've thought about doing that with my 2 BN records (Daisy and Science Fiction), but both have some degree of scratching/damage, so i don't know how much i'd even get for them

 

I tried selling my Science Fiction Limited Edition (the stupid one with the paper packaging and the crushed up flower inside) last year, but nobody wanted it. I’ve literally never opened it. Still in the cardboard box it arrived in a few weeks after the allegations hit in November 2017.

 

Gotta ask in the BN subreddit.

Whenever I come into this thread ya'll are talking about Brand New (or Aerosmith lmao).

Theres been alot of bands that have members who have done something disgusting, hateful, disrespectful, regretful, etc.

I'm not sticking up for Brand New at all, because I also have completely written them off. But just curious, why is Brand New pretty much the only band you all talk about in this thread?

Again, I'm on YOUR side. But just genuinely curious.

 

the weight BN had on the scene as well as the personal lives of a huge portion of this websites userbase makes them a pretty popular topic. the allegations against JL and the subsequent fallout hit people (myself included) a lot harder than some other allegations that might surface here and there.
