The amount of people shitting on him is ridiculous. He’s being praised by the victim for coming forward but anonymous assholes are calling him out
It got out of hand but yeah Dylan was pleased with the response and that's all that matters. Realizing ur mistakes is better late than never. Yes everyone has access to info about him and should know not to work with him. but they are selfish and want accolades and to work for a legend and will compromise morals or justify "not knowing the whole situation" to continue working with him. That's wrong. But someone coming around and realizing that wasn't ok and the survivor accepts that apology... Idk seems worth it to just accept that and hope more speak out against Woody.
Dan Harmon doesn’t surprise me at all. I love Rick and Morty, but it seems like him/JR are both gross. That Harmontown doc movie made Harmon seem like a douche to his wife/GF whatever she was. The latest season of Rick and Morty was not as good as the first two imo. I kinda hope it doesn’t come back
I wonder if all the actors supporting times up who defend and work with Woody and Polanski can literally feel the hypocrisy leaking out of their pores or if they're so delusional they don't care.
Wonderful. I did see something about this referenced at some point on the TL but not the actual tweets. What a predictably mixed and messy night
I'm glad they raised awareness tonight but I just ended up so frustrated at all of the ppl who wore black and the pins while being gross themselves, from being abusers to publicly supporting abusers. It was glaring. Showed what a hypocritical mess Hollywood is and I'm glad survivors have platforms online to call each and every one out. They should be shamed and embarrassed for their self congratulatory behavior and I hope it results in rescinding their support for abusers.
Whoa, just seeing this one. I don't want to say it's "surprising" because I refuse to be surprised by any one in these positions any more, just caught me off guard. Where can I find more info?
That's all I've been able to find as well. I assume that his close relationship with Heems means that he could have potentially harassed one of Heems's abusers or something like that, but I haven't found any concrete info on either of them. Disappointing.
I've been thinking a whole lot about hypocrisy and whatnot in this day and age. I feel like it's such a complex thing that all of us are guilty of to a degree. Idk. and I know this isn't the place for it but in one of the brand new fb groups people were going off on Andrea for posting about the wearing black thing, while obviously still being married to jesse. I read through all the comments bc I like hearing from all perspectives and one comment caught me "there are bad things that shouldn't be tolerated in this world, but I tolerate them under my own roof" and I thought of all the ways that could be interpreted. Bc I'm pretty sure he meant it in a sarcastic calling her out way, but I took it differently. to me it speaks for a lot, and represents a lot of the hypocrisy so many of us fall victim to. again maybe this isn't the thread for it so carry on I'm just working through my own things here I guess
I feel like that situation with Jesse and his wife isn't even hypocritical tho? Or maybe I'm failing to see how it would be.
transcript and video, she's definitely one of the ones that disappoints me the most because I'm such a fan of her work but I also know he's been a huge influence on her
