Lexi Alexander directed the second Punisher movie. She was the first female director to helm a superhero film!
I never knew this. Thanks for sharing! I think her Punisher movie is on Hulu right now. I'll have to watch it.
something tells me your medical exemption isn't above board if this bill would interfere with it lmao
Gross. "Julie’s romantic relationship with Landis lasted for two years. Like Samantha, she recalled being relentlessly pursued by Max. “He jokingly called me a ‘paint cat’ in reference to the ill-fated feline who tries desperately to escape the clutches of Pepe Le Pew,” Julie wrote in her statement. “I was showered with affection, new friends, parties, and intense I-love-yous.”
That’s one of the saddest and most infuriating stories in all of film history. I didn’t know about the “anniversary party” though, that’s so gross.
That article directed me to the Eddie Murphy Playboy article from 1990 where he destroyed Landis (google it, it’s definitely worth the read). It should also be noted that just 4 years after that Playboy interview, Landis would go on to direct Murphy again in Beverly Hills Cop 3 (people forget that one sometimes)
I don’t understand how John Landis still has any clout in Hollywood, he hasn’t had a hit in over 30 years
and oh yeah he totally admitted to some of this shit in an interview years ago https://jezebel.com/screenwriter-bro-just-might-be-hollywoods-biggest-fuck-1440597536
Someone on AP.net owes me an apology for when I called him a piece of shit and they yelled at me for a day.
He's always given me creepy-ass vibes just from how he presents himself on social media, and all of the movies he wrote other than Chronicle (which is okay at best, especially if you've seen Akira) I never knew why he had a following of any kind. I didn't know it would be this fucking bad, holy shit. Send him away forever
