what in the actual fuck is that Spacey video. I saw it and thought it was some old house of cards video that was being brought up for how weird it is knowing what we know now, then I saw it was actually released today. a legitimately baffling video
Literally trying to start his long-rumored acting comeback the same day he’s charged with felony sexual assault. Completely insane and revolting.
Holy f-ck. I cannot believe that is a real thing that exists. There is no way in hell he still has publicists or handlers or anybody working for him who approved that. As far as his 'team' of handlers is concerned I have to believe he's gone rogue.
It might just be an inflated ego thing, he believes that if he’s good enough and people like him enough, they’ll believe him and support him no matter what he does. It’s not That far fetched, it’s how everyone powerful man has been treated for the rest of history.
The video's at 157K likes and only 46K dislikes... that's a 77.3% like percentage. Can't say I was expecting that reception.
I haven’t seen one positive response to this so I’d imagine that it’s mosty done in irony. It’s legitimately one of the most bizarre things I think I’ve ever seen in the entertainment industry. Like a car wreck, it’s hard to look away. One comment that made me lol was like “Kevin Spacey accused of sexual assault: I’m gay! Kevin Spaced charged for sexual assault: I’m Frank Underwood!” It’s just so fucking insane
I’m most disappointed in how... un-funny it was. He’s always lived on the edge but did so as an outspoken liberal, so I don’t buy any of the crap he’s peddling out now. It’s fake. Time will tell if this turns out to be a good career move for him, but regardless, the quality is just not there anymore.
"Embrace the MAGA Chuds" is basically the only move he has left so if his only goal is to be back on stage making money there's really nothing surprising about this move. He either actually was redpilled and truly believes what he's saying (likely) or he just knows they'll welcome literally anyone famous who advances their beliefs (see: Kanye) and this is cynical pandering at its finest. Don't know which is worse.
