But I thought they were the couple that didn’t want to show their kids faces and always blurred them out? That’s not sharing everything. That’s being protective of their family
IDK about that but I meant more of what they share verbally. Not that it's an accountability issue. they just don't really seem to have a filter when sharing stories about themselves and are very open. To the point where sometimes I wonder who asked for that but it's their prerogative
I will continue to dislike landlords and excessively rich people regardless of how common these traits are amongst celebrities
While I also don't like landlords, what's the ethical solution for renting? Honestly asking, I've never dove into this topic
I don't get it, the site generally skews progressive anyway, why is the politics thread then such an awful place? Are ppl on the left arguing w ppl even further left?
2 weeks ago my therapist brought up the idea of my wife and i eventually renting out our home instead of selling if we ever moved away and was very surprised how quickly i said not a chance
Well, not everyone there is “on the left.” For example, @David87 posts there a lot. (And I mean a lot.)
Left infighting is wack and perhaps one of the only things that could make these threads less appealing
i think the ideal scenario (unless your ideal scenario is no private property ownership at all) would be making it way easier to buy a home and regulating corporations purchasing property in bulk with cash offers. I remember at one point when we were house shopping losing out on a house and then seeing it sold and then for rent less than a month later.
ideally social housing but there are many models of non-profit "renting" from the co-op to the MINT. the most important thing is to remove profit (and especially finance capital) from housing
this is probably the only way I’d ever become a landlord, but I have no idea how people afford a 2nd down payment on a 2nd home without using the equity from selling their first home lol
