And he’s pretty damn funny in that and Silicon Valley. I mean, it’s immediately apparent that this guy fuuuucks.
Like actually one of the best modern improvisers, it’s not close. His duo with Neil Casey is transcendently good
I gotta say the Bill Burr thing is profoundly disappointing for many reasons, one if which is the fact that he's done bits making fun of others for doing the exact same shit
I follow comedy in the absolute most casual sense and I feel like Burr was generating so much goodwill just for being a white man that didn't totally suck and poof just like that it's out the window! The bar was underground and he still fumbled.
I don’t care to investigate the truth of it but I saw someone post a clip/quote of him where he like, specifically references how lame/shit comedians are that accept money from this exact group of people / country, but what the clip/quote left off was that at the end he says something like, “now, I only say that because I haven’t been asked to go there yet. If they did, I probably would because that’s a lot of money / I know that goes against everything I just said but I don’t care” and that’s the end of the bit. Weird/ironic/bad that whenever he said that, he basically admitted that he knew he would get shit for it if that scenario ever presented itself but wouldn’t care because it’s worth the money
Glad to see this from Jessica amidst the doubling down by most of the other performers. She states she donated her entire payment for the festival to human rights organizations. Full statement
I wonder if any of the comedians that are performing there wrote a tweet a few years ago about taking "blood money" from the Saudis and then upon taking said "blood money" for themselves they had to apologize for that tweet while in Saudi.
Aziz sucks. I wanna see his new movie because Seth Rogan and Keanu are in it but I’ll wait til it’s on the plex
