I’m scared to ask who Matt Rife is. I heard the name for the first time when I read about the Annabelle doll, and when I told my friend I had no idea who he was all she said was, “oh, you’re lucky.”
Chris D'Elia-esque comedian that had a minute in the spotlight because of his appearance and then caught a bunch of heat for domestic violence jokes and has kind of retreated ever since
my partner's sister had us watch one of his crowd work specials once and it was insufferable and lowbrow. don't understand why so many people like him
I personally cannot stand Matt Rife and think he is a total hack - and this is certainly not to defend him - but he's probably the biggest mainstream comedian working right now. He just sold out Nationwide Arena in Columbus (which I think was the arena's biggest attended show ever) and Rocket Arena in Cleveland on back to back nights. So unfortunately, I think he is very much still well in the spotlight.
pretty sure he’s on like an arena tour right now? Def didn’t retreat, he has a massive female fan base.
Rife, Gillis, Segura, and Bargatze are all probably on a similar level right now. They can all sell out an arena here.
He's one of those odd cases where I feel like I've only heard about his controversies, but I never actually see anything about his actual stand-up or comedy. And it's not uncommon for comedians routines to come across my algorithm but it's only ever controversy with that dude
Gadot trying to “give the world context” by promoting one of the worst Israeli propaganda “documentaries.” Truly hope her career falls into a hole and never comes back. What a wild nosedive.
If Gal Gadot were simply a terrible actress, I’d probably have seen the movie. Her being an outspoken Zionist who proudly served in the IOF guaranteed that I won’t watch it
