So, my girlfriend and I recently got into re-watching The Osbournes reality TV just days after Ozzy’s death (as I’m sure a lot of people have since the show is streaming on Prime, YouTube and Tubi). We know this was from over 20 years ago and a bunch of stuff has not aged well. I was 18/19/20 years old when it originally aired so I was very much aware of the pop culture world at the time. Anyways, we are watching an episode where P Diddy makes an appearance. Yes, he was one of the most popular and powerful hip hop figures of this time, but yikes in retrospect.

 

I’m also rewatching the series and there’s been a lot of random celebs that were big at the time. P Diddy was actually in an earlier ep briefly talking to Ozzy so that’s even creepier he’s more involved as the show went on.

 

Between having Trump on the show and “normalizing” him, being named in the Horatio Sanz lawsuit, trying to stop John Oliver from asking Alexa about union busting, the Rolling Stone article about him not being a great person to work for, and now this, it is a bit surprising (or maybe not) that he has seemingly been able to skirt by without any massive backlash that has damaged his career in any way.

 

Not to mention all the rumors of his drinking problems too

 

Diddy also had his own reality television series (thinking of Making the Band) on MTV around that time so there's a connection there

 

Because who better than the face of a beauty campaign than a guy who used to look like this?

 

Yeah I get a lot of beauty tiktok on my algorithm and people are not happy. I've even seen a few influencers who've collaborated with elf in the past speaking out. It's such a weird choice. Like what demographic is elf trying to go for here??
