Not sure if this is relevant to many of you, but a big “booktuber” has some pretty serious allegations against him. He made a short video saying he’s suing her. Really fucked up situation. Edit: she never mentioned him, but he sent her a cease and desist. Sounds like a confession.
So true but it doesn’t even have to be friends. Just people in the same group as you. You see it in sports leagues because they’re so public and male dominated, players will embrace another player and even go out of their way to defend them over an abused woman. But that mentality is pervasive across many groups. It’s extremely gross and needs to be called out more.
The Don’s Plum guy’s memoir that I’m reading (not great) has a pretty horrific alleged event involving Leonardo DiCaprio coercing a woman into a sexual event at a party in front of a bunch of people while Ethan Suplee filmed it. Again, alleged, but the events of the book are supposed to be all true.
