Butker is a literal piece of shit. Grew up Catholic then realized how narrow minded all the authority around me was, then stopped going to church and haven't looked back. Butker is the epitome of the pretty boy asshole that has the most backwards ass views and thinks he's the shit. Fuck him and all he stands for. Hope they remove him from the team.
I hope he’s removed the team but there are literal rapists and child abusers on teams so don’t get your hopes up. If he starts missing kicks they’ll remove him, that’s it. Or maybe if he says cops should stop killing black people or this imperialist country sucks. Fuck the nfl
I recently rewatched the Michael Richards incident and it was worse than I even remembered. And you know it's bad because people realized at the time it was bad. It wasn't even like a "oh in retrospect this was awful" like people in real time were legit horrified and booing.
heated gamer moment in all seriousness, he's done pretty much nothing since the incident, which ironically shows a better handling of accountability (intentional or not) than 90% of the PR statements and notes app apologies we see posted in here. Everyone is desperate to keep their platform these days, but he straight-up mostly disappeared for going on 20 years now. Not a defense, just an observation. I was confused about the context of that quote until I saw he went to Jerry's movie premiere (whatever) and is releasing a memoir (slightly more suspect)
It's bizarre watching the letterman interview after the incident. Idk anything about Richards outside of his work on the show, but he called out that audience members were laughing when he was trying to be serious. I think Seinfeld calls the audience out too at one point? It's been a bit longer since I've seen the whole interview. At least it seemed like he was trying to be serious and I don't think was part of a bit? It was just an all around really weird, uncomfortable, and honestly unnecessary interview and if letterman was going to let his show be used as a platform for an apology he should've at least scolded his own audience for laughing about it but didn't. You could like see the real time regret when Richards is like "I hear your audience laughing and I don't think this is a place I should be" but then it just keeps going. The entire situation was like a 101 on what not to do ever
It 100% should not gave happened like that. Everyone was on the wrong side of that. It also did not help that Richards kept calling black people “Afro Americans.”
His views are that women shouldn’t work. He probably thinks you’re being emasculated in your relationship. Come on man. These aren’t views, they’re misogyny.
He's already been accused of sexual harassment, why do we keep wheeling these senior citizens out and expecting them not to have problematic takes on anything
