These guys think 12 former Tumblr users yelling at them on Twitter over a bad joke while getting no financial or professional repercussions for said joke is the worst most oppressive thing that ever happened to them.
I obviously agree with him, but isn’t the whole point for AI is to just click a button? I feel like these people aren’t exactly acting shy or ashamed about that being their goal. They just don’t care
Oh that’s going to go over VERY poorly for NWSL fans, specifically Current fans. Curious if there are any demonstrations at the game
At this point if you support the nfl at all you’re supporting something gross Like imagine being a woman and asked to root for the browns
He did say that he doesn’t agree with certain things Butker said…for whatever that’s worth. Still not a great response though.
I don’t think that’s worth anything. Not taking shots at anyone in this thread obviously, but that’s extremely cowardly. You’re on video saying you don’t talk to the guy. You don’t have to tell us you think he’s a good person. Just get up there and say you disagree, that many crucial members of Chiefs staff are women, and that you believe women can do anything they want. All these dudes who try and both sides things are full of shit. You’re Patrick Mahomes. If the Chiefs get mad you take a stand, plenty of other teams will be interested. I’m so sick of these men who stay neutral to mask how spineless they are
He's not masking anything, he's saying exactly what he thinks. He thinks Butker is a good guy, he doesn't have any personal beef with him, he doesn't give a shit about this whole thing and he just wants to get on with the offseason. It's weird that people are making it a Chiefs issue. His viewpoint is probably shared by about 90% of players and coaches.
Yes so weird that people hear someone say something shitty and then look to people surrounding that person to stand up to them. How bizarre
Not really sure why you're coming at me. I'm not defending it, but I am saying it is literally the opposite of bizarre. Within the internal culture of NFL teams and players, Butker's views are not controversial. Everyone had a good laugh at the Chargers social media account playing a video of Butker in the kitchen, but their own coach is a strident pro-lifer and appears regularly at rallies, etc. Yet nobody has asked Chargers personnel to confront him about it. Because they don't care.
With his wife being the owner of a NWSL team, and the close association of Taylor Swift to the team , who has a massive influence on women and young girls around the world, he really should have come up with a more stern "I do not stand for any of this" response.
My point is that it's not unreasonable generally speaking to look for accountability here. The party line from the Chiefs is that everyone has multiple opinions, so where are those people? We know there are players in the NFL who do not subscribe to far right politics. Asking them to speak up for women isn't "weird"
It’s the NFL they don’t hold anyone accountable unless you’re Colin Kaepernick, then they blacklist you.
