My gf and I were watching it last night and it's insane all the sexual innuendos that were put in sketches/kids' shows that he worked on where the child actors had no clue behind the "jokes"
On a positive note on that doc it reminded me that Katrina Johnson was my favorite All That castmember growing up, and that she honestly should have had Amanda Bynes career . She was so good.
Compared to a lot of the Disney Channel stars, it seems as though aside from Kenan and Ariana a lot of the Nickelodeon starts never had much of a career post-Nickelodeon days. Jennette talked about the abuse she received and witnessed on sets, and I wonder if others were affected by what they saw/what happened to them on sets that it caused them to draw back from the entertainment industry. I'm glad everyone is getting a chance to tell their stories. The issues with Dan (and others) has been tip toed around for far too long.
This Shangela news is really gross, kind of fucked up that Max helped to try and make this all go away. Also, starting to see some alt-right personalities using this as an example of drag queen grooming. Fuck them and fuck Shangela.
drag queens and trans people are people and people can be shitty. it seems like every time a person fucks up, the entire marginalized group they're part of gets ostracized. like people are just dying for any excuse to be racist or transphobic etc
I worked with a Disney child star at a UPS Store. Mike something, The show was a football show on after Even Stevens He was great, but the gravity of that experience definitely damaged his wellness. I say was, cuz he OD’d shortly after he was fired coming in fucked up a few times too many
I loved this show so immediately knew what you were talking about. And I looked it up and one of the leads was indeed a guy named Mike that passed away. The Jersey (TV Series 1999–2004) ⭐ 7.2 | Comedy, Family, Fantasy
The Jersey was such a good show. I remember when he died and being so shocked. Same with Lee Thompson Young. We’ve lost so many stars from that era. I know Quiet on Set is going to hurt so much. All of those shows meant the world to me growing up, and it’s been hard to revisit any of them for years. Don’t know when I’ll have it in me to watch it.
Zionists keeping the conversation going is not going to have the impact they want. As kids in Gaza are facing famine on top of being bombed to oblivion the film’s themes are only going to be more timely and relevant to the crisis in Gaza. If you are on the side of being mad about the comparison you are only going to look worse.
The Israeli side has lost more and more credibility every day since October 7th. No one believes them and everyone can see what is happening.
