I wouldn’t be surprised if Majors firing was more of a decision by Feige and others at Marvel than it was in other departments of Disney.

 

I could see Disney trying to “fix” his image so they can work with him on other things.

Probably felt that this situation was out of their hands, so they were “forced” to fire him from the Marvel world but are unhappy about it so now let’s start “fixing” his image so in a year or 2 they can hire him back on for projects and honestly will probably try to bring him back into the Marvel world.
