I didn’t post when it happened because I assumed she didn’t cross into Chorus’ peripheral but there was a huge thing with Ashley Gavin (she screamed at an audience member to kill themselves) that blew up and watching the narcissism pour out was wild. Keeps saying the audio that was released was cut up and edited but that she has full video of the show and that’s not how it happened. But isn’t releasing the video. Also said her special flopped because her fans “are new to comedy” and don’t know what happens at stand up shows. Incredibly condescending

That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen, but that's also a lot of the comments on articles or posts about Rife. Guys saying shit like "they found out he isn't just cute he tells real jokes". So fucking dumb. If you can't be funny without being an awful person maybe you just aren't funny?

 

Someone posted this Anthony Jeselnik clip on tik tok and I think it really nailed why someone "edgy" comedians are just so grating and why some people can use dark humor well and have no real pushback.
