Whole movies being punished always makes me feel a little bad for the dozens, if not hundreds, of other people who worked on them.

I tend to err on the side of being ok with the movie doing bad especially if it features the abuser.

 

Obviously the victim comes first. But it has to be awful for everyone that put time, money and talent into something that get derailed because the star turns out to be a piece of shit.

 

It would be one thing to do it not knowing the guidelines (as a genuine mistake) but to do it as a “fuck you” to SAG-AFTRA…yikes. She has the money to survive during the strike and just pay the fine they will impose on her but a lot of the lower level actors don’t have that luxury :/

More corny than shitty. I think it’s weird to make up the specific stuff he made up and go on a PR campaign against an article that seems mostly accurate.

who did he lie about? the FBI informant trying to infiltrate his community? or the girl whose racist parents rejected him on account of his skin color but oh turns out it was a few days before prom not right before prom?

 

Oh please. He admitted he embellished these stories and the woman in question was engaged to an Indian American man but was doxed as a racist because of his jokes that made it seem like she just left him at her door. Believe what you want but I don’t find his response convincing at all.
