Colin also thinks gentrification is dope as hell 'SNL' Star Colin Jost's Guide to the Hamptons: Where to Eat, Drink and Run Into Seinfeld
I’m legit bummed right now, I’m definitely glad I know about this now but it honestly sucks when you had no idea about anything like that prior.
Do we think there is any chance he maybe would speak about what happened if he did a proper comeback and not a small lowkey free show? Or is he just totally ignorant and doesn't care? Maybe I am giving him too much credit, but I imagine him to be one of the few who would actually totally understand how what he did was fucked up. Regardless, I do think now is too soon, unless he has made some steps such as therapy, etc.
Regardless of where someone lands on the issue of his return, for him not to address the issue at all is irresponsible. Stand-up comedy is very personal, and his kind of comedy was always more personal than average. The show Louie was a thinly veiled depiction of aspects of his life. He talked about his divorce in almost every performance, so to pretend that the sexual assault issue never happened makes it harder to accept him back.
tbh I don't understand anyone discussing what his comeback could or would look like, especially after only 9 months or whatever. he leveraged his position to assault and harass multiple women, some of whom had their careers derailed so that he could continue his. Like, what would his voice even contribute anymore?
him not addressing the elephant in the room is gross but it would be equally gross if he tried to normalize it or rationalize it
