I loved it in high school and watched it until the end in college despite strongly disliking the final season, aaand then came the worst series finale I have ever seen in any television show.

I know I probably wouldn't like it these days, but I feel like I'd still enjoy the Marshall and Lily scenes

I didn’t watch the final season but I liked what I watched of it

  3. Yeah, never finished it but I enjoyed it in high school.

  4. I watched a marathon of it one day when I was sick at home maybe 13 or so years ago, was never into it but knew people here loved it and wanted to give it an earnest shot. After maybe like 4 hours I still wasn’t feeling it at all and never went back

  5. That's how I felt about Schitt's Creek tbh. Watched a handful of episodes and thought it was...fine. Not even bad, just not something I had the desire to keep up with.

yeah same. A lot of it hasn’t aged well like most sitcoms from the era, but it was perfectly fine

Yeah don’t compare Schitts Creek to garbage like HIMYM please. It’s cool if it’s not for you but it’s a very different show

I would put both of those sitcoms (aside from the HIMYM final season that I didn’t watch) on a similar level
    Edit:
Lol wait this isn’t the Unpopular Opinions thread why is this convo in here

schitt's creek is good, much better than himym, but the reverence for it is a little overblown. abbott elementary is much better.

Haha I wasn’t meaning that to be a dick, I just jumped in mid convo and didn’t know how we got here

  16. yeah I didn't think you were haha, I was just feeling responsible for causing such a large tangent even before you mentioned it, but at the same time I'm kinda glad this thread got to be unserious for a bit

  18. Similar to HIMYM, I really gave Schitt’s Creek a very earnest try. Fans kept telling me it got better so I just kept watching lol. Five seasons later I still didn’t understand the hype and it’s for sure the last time I don’t just listen to my gut and bail when I’m not feeling a show

AP was like a target market. Many users were prob the Ted when they were younger. Flawed hopeless romantic who is a dumbass young guy that makes the same mistakes and hung up on one woman he puts on a pedestal. Could be a pop punk album!

Schitt’s Creek is one of my favorite sitcoms. I recommend it to everyone I know.

Is the name indicative of the type of humor in the show?

The only sitcom I got into was That 70's Show, but I haven't watched it in years and Danny's actions ruined one of the best characters in it, so
