Or you could just not do that for the duration of the strike and instead inform fans on the reasons for the strike. Most people are already on your side and it's a good way to get more, instead of undermining the process and intent behind those rules.
Yeah it's not a coincidence the people getting in trouble for saying dumb shit about the strike and then backtracking when they get called out for it are the same people that are usually saying dumb shit.
Couldn’t he just go to the events and like…tell other stories? I get that people seeing Levi are probably looking for Shazam or Chuck stories but there are plenty of other things he can talk about without crossing the picket line that would still satisfy fans
so many people using "taken out of context" to excuse them being terrible with their words in the moment. that isn't "out of context," that's you being a bad public speaker lol
It’s a shame there isn’t someone who could help actors with what they’re going to say before they say it
They pay A LOT. Literally, 5 figures (at least) for folks to show up for these different conventions, take photos and sign stuff. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/stars-getting-rich-fan-conventions-933062/
Funny that the first person they quote is Stephen Amell, didn't realize he started a talent agency for the convention circuit.
Yeah there are people making a living solely off convention appearances. Not that Levi is hurting for cash but some of these people walk away with six figures from one weekend
I mean I understand why people do them in general, my question was why is he doing one in the midst of a strike that prohibits you from promoting your projects. Unrelated, but I heard Lionel Boyce on NPR on Saturday talking about The Bear, and I'm curious how that doesn't go against the strike rules.
I’m guessing the Boyce piece was pre-taped. You can also make public appearances, the guidelines are just about what you can and can’t promote or say about projects one is involved in. I don’t know the strict guidelines but they don’t blanketly prohibit public appearances like conventions
bit of a reach if you ask me, but i suppose good to just take it down and not fight it. it does reek of “sorry if you were offended” though, which always sucks to see.
I can see what they were possibly going for, but their tan should've been more orange if that is the case. I saw a sorority video that was being mocked on my algorithm and the girls were v blonde and orange and idk if I'm prepared for that trend to come back around tbh!
