I know it's not the same thing, but I would like studios and Netflix to be held accountable for their treatment of actors and writers.
This happened before I was born so I didn’t realize Pesci did this (threatened to hit Sinead). Yeesh. I’m glad the way SNL and Hollywood acted towards her after what she did is coming back to light now. It was just awful.
this was a really hard watch for me. Loved Supermega for a very long time but looking back Matt and Ryan's behaviour isn't the least bit surprising. Other former employees have spoke out and it's incredibly damning. Guess I need a new podcast to listen to. Fuck Matt and Ryan and fuck Supermega.
This is two hours? Can you give me the tldr? Is that rude? I only have seen SuperMega every once in a blue moon, but I have no idea who DonDRRR is
At the risk of missing things here is the TLDR from one of the streams calling them out. The post doesn’t totally go into this video but someone was r*ped in Matt’s house by their artist and they refused to let him go as an employee from Supermega and eventually forced him to live with the victim (who was staying at the office at the time). When confronted about this Matt and Ryan said it would ruin their magnum opus that is Supermega and they can’t have it leak. Allegations more specifically against Matt and Ryan are in the link though. Reddit - Dive into anything
Thanks! I did some more digging around and it's truly disgusting fucking stuff that's been openly going on, racist stuff, saying stuff against people who have ended their own lives, workplace harassment, just an absolute cluster of atrocities. Burn them down.
He also was asked if he knew what consent was and said no and then asked for a definition. Thorough sex ed needs to be available and accessible to everyone. This is clearly learned behavior that could have and should have been challenged somewhere along the way. I hope any survivors are able to find the peace they deserve.
Studio executives aren't movie buffs, so they are just combing through previous successes and seeing a trend of movies being remade into new movies and shows and decide to go for it. Every organic success is partly an accident.
He keeps coming so close to saying something worthwhile and then remembers he’s a rich white dude and it all goes out the window Also lol “Despite some of my terrible early acting work, I assure you, I’m not a robot”
