In April 2020, Harrelson posted a gonzo article tying the supposed “negative effects of 5G” to the spread of Covid, saying he found it “very interesting.” In a May 2022 interview with Vanity Fair, Harrelson said of mask-wearing during the pandemic, “As one who doesn’t believe in the germ theory, I find it rather absurd.””
Never occurred to me that hosts don't write their own monologue unless they were like a sports star or something. I assume people with stand up experience 100% write their own like when Galifianakis just basically did his act Can't imagine someone wrote that anti vax stuff for Woody
Yeah, I would say MOST hosts either write their monologues or at the very least, come in with a series of topics they'd like to discuss and the writers help them craft it. There's no way the writers write random shit and give it to the host to say.
I am seeing the right sharing the Woody monologue saying shit like "BASED SNL!" (Elon even pinned this tweet, because of course he did). But here's the funny thing, he also said that he was a marxist.... which, isn't that conservatives least favorite thing? lol but I guess anti-vaxx stuff is more important to them
Yeah he sucks and if I had any interest in Shazam whatsoever previously (just based on reviews), it's gone now
I feel bad for Rachel Zegler who’s seemingly always stuck in movies with stars who are revealed to be problematic
It feels gross based on what little I know but I also don’t know what he has done to make amends (if at all)
Disclaimer that I live in LA and am around sets semi-frequently as well as having friends in the industry: the only issue people are having with this is the increase in cost for the studio. Most often there’s a small bump in pay as hazard pay for Covid as well as getting paid for 1-2 hours of work if you have to go offsite to test. At this point Covid precautions are just testing and masking in certain areas. A lot of studios are down to testing once a week. Even without considering the fact that it’s for everyone’s health and safety, it’s just genuinely not causing any major inconvenience. It’s a trash talking point
Also before some nerd comes in and says I’m some billionaire bootlicker: by “people” having an issue with the cost for studios, I do not mean myself
