Wow. I had posted in the music accountability thread that I wasn’t anticipating any repercussions. Obviously wish the first public allegation had been taken this seriously but am glad that it’s course correcting this time around
Chappelle bringing Musk up on stage in San Francisco is hilariously on brand with how out of touch those fools are and I'm glad it went horrible and awkward for them. This tweet though...
This trial deeply impacted me and I don't blame her but I'm sad for her. The fact that my abuser could sue me for talking about my experience without even naming him, and win, is awful. And she has more evidence and resources than I ever will. It's such a blow to survivors.
If I sign out of my email/account and go to YouTube, half the recommended videos are still about the trial and slandering her. I don’t think this is going away. Entirely fucked up situation
And with the Megan trial you can see that the ultimate goal of getting people not to believe women worked
This comes from DeuxMoi I don’t know exactly at what points she talks about it but the discussion was uploaded to YouTube: Regardless of who she is referencing, I hope she’s doing okay and in a place now where she feels safe. Edit: removed the baseless speculation from DeuxMoi
I obviously know nothing about what it’s like to be in a relationship, but I’ve met and worked with Bill Hader a few times, and the way I’ve always seen him treat people lesser than him (that sounds gross to say, but I mean like non-celebrities) has always been pretty admirable
Labeling someone as a, "fairly obvious," abuser when it's not at all obvious is irresponsible af.. but that's just me.
Definitely reckless to just assume its Hader but also kind of irresponsible although much less so to immediately come out and say what a great guy and person Bill Hader is in reference to her talking about something like that when she didn’t name any names.
