this is precisely why she is someone we should simply just stop posting about in here. there is no accountability, none being sought and none being carried out. i certainly will not speak for anyone but, i would be surprised if there were not people who post in these or even this very forum who get uncomfortable even seeing her name. i know every few months the circle-jerk of "whats really the purpose of this thread" gets going and maybe this is just another stop on that train but, idk, far more often than not this thread is just used for drive-by tweet dumps, and we arent really discussing accountability at all. just making comments about the people themselves.
Well then maybe it should be called the accountability or lack thereof thread, because I think people continuing to either be shitty, like JK, or failed to be held accountable for prior actions, like Brad Pitt, is worth posting about. If it’s about actual accountability in the entertainment industry this thread would just be tumbleweeds.
I think positive discussions do happen in here and even if they don't, I think it's good to have a place to keep track of these things. I've used the search function a number of times when discovering new artists because this thread, for better or for worse, tends to stay relatively comprehensive when it comes to our scene. edit: I guess I thought I was in the Accountability in Music thread, but I think my point still stands.
